Hello everyone, Today we will talk about Basic Displacing Geometry in blender 3.1.2.
I explained Displacing Mesh in very deeply and basics way for beginners.
If you are working in Blender 3D, you might have heard the term power of texture node, this is the node that allows a particular texture to be mapped onto any surface.
The size, shape and orientation of the texture can also be adjusted by the Strength value, meaning that it has full control over how much force it exerts on the object.
Displacement of a mesh can be explained as the creation of peaks and valleys to a plain flat surface.
Displacement is done by using a noise texture node, which can be helpful in many ways. It can be used for creating hills or mountains, for example. A good use case would be if you need to add some details on top of your model so it looks more realistic, but don't want too much noise or clutter on top of them (like trees).
While displacement is a great tool for adding details to your model, it can also be used in other ways. It's often used in games to create landscapes or terrain, and in some cases it's even used as a way of creating water effects.
So you ask yourself how to displacing geometry through Texture node in blender 3d. The following tutorial will show you...
Here is the complete Nodes setup you can see in one view and Easley to understanding.
I will show you How we use in video, I hope you like this, If you have any questions drop your comments in below.
Complete Nodes Setup
Note:- This new geometry nodes system in only blender updated versions, please update it
1. Add a grid node
Set size XY - 2 m
Vertices starting- 100, then you can increase (like 500,1000)
2. Add a vector math node and position node
3. Add combine XYZ node
Add a noise texture node then connect wire Z
